2016 Recipient of the Leadership Victoria Award: Royal Roads University for Excellence in Mentoring and Coaching
First Canadian to receive the European Supervision Individual Accreditation (ESIA) through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
Lily is a Certified Executive Coach, a Mentor Coach (International Coach Federation) and an Accredited Coaching Supervisor. Through her successful consultancy, Lily supports her clients through leadership development, conflict coaching, intercultural coaching, career coaching, and change management. Her clients range from Human Resource professionals, middle managers and CEOs to individuals looking for a career change. She also customizes workshops to meet the needs of her clients on such topics as team development, diversity and coaching skills.
Lily has a strong background in Learning and Development and Human Resources. She began working in retail and moved to the Federal Government, both on the front line and in management positions. She then moved into Human Resources, where she was nominated for the Silver Medal in Leadership in 2006 for her work in redesigning an organization in the Yukon Territories.
As the Manager of a Learning Centre and certified executive coach, Lily developed high impact workshops while coaching leaders in an Executive Leadership Development program. As the Director of Organizational Development with the British Columbia Government, Lily led teams of internal facilitators and workshop designers in delivering coaching workshops and learning organization workshops. Her work in designing and training facilitators on the “Building a Respectful Workplace” workshop was a finalist in the 2009 Premiers Awards and is still one of the top subscribed workshops offered to BC public servants.
As Coaching Strategist for the BC Government, Lily led the creation of an internal coaching program for topics including managing direct reports, career planning, and team coaching. She partnered with individual Ministries to infuse a coaching approach to their daily work. For this work, she was awarded the Royal Roads Leadership Award in Coaching.
Lily is a Past President of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Vancouver Island Chapter. She currently serves on the Independent Review Board (IRB) on Ethics and is the co-lead for the Community of Practice of Coaching in Government. Lily is also an Associate Faculty member at Royal Roads University in their Advanced Coaching Program, facilitating the "Intercultural Competence and Global Coaching" course.
Education
Lily has a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University and a Masters in Leadership and Training. She is currently enrolled in a Masters in Organizational Management and Development at Fielding Graduate University, where she has also earned a certificate in Evidence Based Coaching. Lily is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) recognized by the International Coach Federation, holds a Diploma in Coaching Supervision from the Coaching Supervision Academy, and is certified in Mentor Coaching. She also holds an ESIA (European Supervision Individual Accreditation).
